Seattle to Japan; and finally to Thailand!

After rushing to my flight and barely making it, getting into an argument with a non-english speaking woman who was in my seat, and struggling to get myself together I finally sat down for one of the longest flights ever! I had the aisle seat and had this young Asian guy sitting next to me. He didn’t speak much English but that did not bother me. I tried to sleep but couldn’t so I spent most of my time watching pointless movies on my screen.  I was now a little more excited about my decision, yet I was still questioning myself when a quote came up in a movie I was watching… It seemed perfect and eased my nerves a bit.

This flight went pretty well except for the landing when the young Asian guy sitting next to me decided he needed to throw up… After soooo many hours in a flight that was the last thing I needed.

I was supposed to meet one of the guys in my group, Dubois Ford. I looked for him everywhere and couldn’t find him. I walked the airport from end to end several times until filled with enough frustration to determine I would continue my journey on my own. Needless to say, nothing seemed to be going my way.

I decided I would try to login on to the airports free wireless and contact my family, and some of my friends. They say Japan is very technologically advanced, yet nothing would work and I refuse to think it was my technological skills. Completely frustrated and defeated by my journey I went to a little Japanese bar, I had a beer and some pizza (or their version of pizza), listened to music and waited for my flight.

My last flight was not bad at all! I got to sit next to an army guy who was coming to Thailand to teach as well, but he was only doing it for a couple of weeks. I fell in and out of sleep most of my flight and finally landed in Bangkok at about 11 pm at night!
